How The Boss died


Nigeria football Legend Stephen Keshi also known as The Boss passed away yesterday. The Nff official twitter handle tweeted this morning about his death Keshi died on 7 June 2016 in Benin City, after suffering from a cardiac arrest. He was 54. He was on Holiday in his Benin home according to the family he only complained about a leg ailment.

The ex- international lost his wife , Nkem Kate Keshi only last December. They had been married for more than 30 years. She died after a prolonged battle with cancer. Keshi had was survived by four

A statement on the coaches death had been released by Emmanuel Ado, brother and aide to the late Mr. Keshi, said: “With thanksgiving to God, the Ogbuenyi Fredrick Keshi family of Illah in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, announces the death of Mr. Stephen Okechukwu Chinedu Keshi’.


As a player Keshi won several trophies including the Africa cup of nations with Nigeria in 1994. Keshi also won the Belgian cup twice in 1988 & 1989 with Anderlecth also won the jupelier league once in 1991. As a coach he won the Africa cup of Nations one with Nigeria in 2013 , he’s one of the two coaches to have won the Africa cup of Nations both as a player and as a coach. He coached the Togo national team to their first ever appearance at the world cup though he was replaced before the tournament. May his gentle soul rest in peace
